Model 910 / Dual Duplex
Low Noise Pre-amplifier
Small, rugged amplifier unit designed
for use as a low noise pre-amplifier.
Easily placed in line with the tower
antenna system.
No additional cables, antennas, or
wiring on the tower are needed.
Extends Coverage
Enhances uplink sensitivity and stretches
wireless coverage along interstate highways
or fills wireless coverage gaps in low
signal areas.
Improved Uplink Sensitivity
CSI's ITAs provide improved uplink sensitivity thus allowing increases in downlink power
while keeping the link balanced. Typical amplifier noise figures of 1.7 dB and nominal gain of
12 dB maximize receive sensitivity.
Simple Rapid Installation
The jumper cable is disconnected from the lead-in coax and the ITA is installed between the
two cables. The ITA is powered by 12Vdc on the center conductor of the existing coax. No
additional wires or connectors are needed to complete the installation of the amplifiers.
Fewer Sites Mean Lower System Costs
The amount of improvement gained through the use of ITAs varies with the antenna configuration and the number of ITAs implemented. If a 3 dB improvement in uplink sensitivity were obtained and the downlink power increased accordingly, the site could achieve a 40% improvement in range. Ideally, this would allow 5 ITA equipped sites to replace 7 conventional sites when "daisy-chained" as might be done on an interstate highway.
