Public Safety
Recent codes and standards have benn passed that outline recommendations for radio communication coverage in buildings for emergency responders. These mandates are critical in ensuring fire, polic, and other safety personnel have reliable communication services inside your facility during emergency situations.
With thousands of completed projects and over a decade of RF experience, CSI provides in-building wireless solutions that cover the spectrum of public safety communication services including UHF/VHF, 700/800 MHz, paging, and two-way radio. CSI also offers a complete line of repeaters, signal boosters, bi-directional amplifiers, and system components covering 700 and 800 MHz frequencies.
National Codes and Standards for In-Building Public Safety
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the International Code Council, and the International Fire Code (IFC) are non-profit membership groups dedicated to public safety and fire prevention. The codes and standards developed by these organizations are utilized by nearly every city in the United States to ensure safety parameters are met in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.
Over the past several years these organizations have worked on the development of a nationwide uniform code for in-building public safety communications. The NFPA-1 2009, NFPA-72 and IFC 2009 codes outline the specifications for an in-building public safety communication system. These codes mandate that all buildings have adequate wireless signal to ensure mission critical communications for first responders via their radios or other wireless devices.
CSI will analyze your building's requirements and develop a solution that adheres to public safety codes and standards to ensure reliable and secure emergency communications – even in hard to reach areas or challenging RF environments.
