System Overview
An in-building system is designed to provide wireless coverage by taking the wireless signal from a cell site, amplifying that signal, and distributing it throughout an area that is experiencing poor coverage. A donor antenna is strategically placed (typically on the roof) so that the antenna is oriented towards a specific cell site. Cable is routed from the donor antenna to a repeater where signals are amplified and filtered. The signals are then distributed, via additional coax cable, from the repeater to server antennas which are strategically placed to provide uniform, consistent signal throughout the designated coverage area.
