Cellular Specialties, Inc to Showcase the Wireless Engine Digital Repeater at CTIA

Manchester, NH (March 7, 2007) ­ Cellular Specialties, Inc (CSI), a recognized leader in the design and implementation of in-building wireless products, announces it will showcase The Wireless Engine, the company's next generation Digital Signal Processing (DSP) repeater, at CTIA Wireless from March 27-29, 2007 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orland, Florida.

The Wireless Engine is CSI's answer to an industry-wide need to handle in-building projects with adjacent channel interference combined with multiple non-contiguous passbands. This innovative repeater, featuring software-defined digital filtering, can be adapted to any conceivable passband configuration and will not become obsolete with network changes. The Wireless Engine provides extremely high selectivity to manage the most challenging RF situations and can manage a wide range of applications including Public Safety/SMR 800, Cellular, and PCS.

It is clear to CSI that digital signal processing is the unavoidable step required to build next generation in-building coverage systems, comments Paul Cuda, Director of New Technology Planning and Product Development Engineering at CSI. Sharper frequency agile filters are obvious but more effective integration into the network is really where we are headed.
